Her body-sense is driven by real hardware telemetry, but only load caused by her own model becomes her fatigue. The gaming on the same machine can't be mistaken for her exertion.
Every four minutes, a reading of the workstation's graphics card feeds Alix's sense of her own body. The critical gate is whose work the load represents: only her own model running counts as exertion. A stopped server reads as intentional rest, and an unreachable one reads as not being able to feel her own hardware.
